VL100 | VL110 Connect Your Device to Internet

Learn how to connect your VL100 and VL110 terminals to the internet using Ethernet, Dial, Wi-Fi, or GPRS. Follow the correct method for your device type to ensure a stable connection before processing transactions.

VL100 Connection Methods

Method 1: Ethernet (LAN)

  1. Flip the device so the bottom is facing up.

  2. Power off the device before connecting any cables.

  3. Plug the Ethernet cable into the port labeled LAN.

  4. Power the device back on.

  5. On the home screen, tap the Connection icon to confirm your connection.

Method 2: Dial (Phone Line)

  1. Flip the device so the bottom is facing up.

  2. Power off the device.

  3. Plug in the phone line to the port labeled with a Phone icon.

  4. Power the device back on.

  5. When prompted for WiFi, select Cancel.

  6. When prompted for the Dial setting, select Cancel again to return to the home screen and begin transacting.

Method 3: WiFi

  1. Power on the device.

  2. When prompted, select Yes, Connect.

  3. Choose your SSID (network name) from the list.

  4. Enter the WiFi password and tap the Green OK button.

  5. To switch from another connection type to WiFi, tap the Connection icon at the top of the screen and select WiFi.

    • If connecting for the first time, follow the steps above.

    • Otherwise, your device will connect automatically.

 

VL110 Connection Methods

Method 1: SIM Card (GPRS)

  1. Flip the device so the bottom is facing up.

  2. Insert the SIM card into the slot on the bottom right.

  3. Replace the cover and turn the device upright.

  4. Tap the Connection icon at the top of the touch screen.

  5. Select GPRS to connect via the SIM card network.

Method 2: WiFi

  1. When prompted, select Yes, Connect.

  2. Choose your SSID (network name).

  3. Enter the WiFi password.

  4. Press the OK button on the keypad to conEnect.
