⚠️ Important Power Safety Note
Only use an approved PAX power supply and adapter for AC power.
Using third-party or incorrect voltage/amperage supplies can damage the device and may void the warranty.

Common first steps (applies to all Wi-Fi modes)

  1. Open Settings on the A800.

  2. Select Network & Internet.

  3. Slide the Wi-Fi toggle right to enable Wi-Fi.

📘 Note

These Wi-Fi procedures assume you are configuring the terminal's built-in Wi-Fi.
If you will use cellular, consult the Cellular section of the reference guide for SIM/SAM setup and cellular options.

DHCP (automatic IP)

DHCP lets the network automatically assign IP and other network settings.

Steps

  1. Settings → Network & Internet
  2. Enable Wi-Fi (slide toggle).
  3. Select the desired Wi-Fi network from the list and enter the network password when prompted.
  4. Tap Connect

(When the network is configured for DHCP, the DHCP server will provide an IP address and other parameters automatically.)

Static IP

Use Static IP when the device must keep a permanent IP address.

Steps

  1. Settings → Network & Internet
  2. Enable Wi-Fi and select the desired network; enter the network password when prompted.
  3. Open Advanced options (or the Advanced drop-down) for the selected network and scroll to the IP settings.
  4. Under the IP Settings drop-down, select Static.
  5. Enter the following values:
    1. IP address
    2. Gateway
    3. Network prefix length (this is the subnet mask length)
    4. DNS 1 (primary DNS)
    5. DNS 2 (secondary DNS, optional)
  6. Tap Save to apply the static configuration.

Manual Static IP (hidden SSID / add network)

If the access point does not broadcast its SSID (hidden network), the A800 will not show the SSID in available network lists. In this case you must add the network manually and configure it as Static.

                Steps

                1. Settings → Network & Internet
                2. Enable Wi-Fi.
                3. Select Add Network
                4. Enter the exact (case-sensitive) Network SSID
                5. Select the correct Security type for the network (options include Enhanced Open, WEP, WPA/WPA2-Personal, WPA3-Personal, WPA/WPA2/WPA3-Enterprise, WAPI PSK, and WAPI Certificate).
                6. Open Advanced options and set IP settings to Static
                7. Enter IP address, Gateway, Network prefix length, DNS 1, DNS 2, then tap Save to add the network.
                🛠️ Quick Troubleshooting Tips
                • If the A800 doesn't obtain an IP address under DHCP, confirm the DHCP server on your router is active and has available addresses.
                • For Static IP issues, verify the gateway and network prefix length are correct for your subnet.
                • If a manually added hidden SSID does not connect, double-check SSID spelling and security type.
                • For cellular connectivity, verify SIM(s) are correctly installed and that the APN configuration (if required) is correct.
