Reset a Valor VL100 / VL110 Terminal

If your Valor terminal (VL100 or VL110) needs a reset, follow the step-by-step instructions below. This will clear the terminal’s database and allow you to input a new EPI number.

1. Access the Menu

  • On the Credit Sale screen, tap the (☰) three-bar menu icon located at the bottom center of the screen.

2. Navigate to Host Utility

  • Tap the 🡇 down arrow on the bottom right-hand corner.

  • Locate and tap Host Utility.

3. Enter EPI Password

  • When prompted, enter the last four digits of your EPI as the password.

4. Reset the Terminal

  • Tap the 🡇 down arrow again (bottom right).

  • Select Reset Terminal.

5. Confirm with Master Password

  • When asked for confirmation, enter the Valor Master Password: 82567729.

  • Tap OK to clear the database.

6. Reconfigure the Terminal

  • After the reset is complete, the terminal will prompt you to enter a new EPI.

  • Input the correct EPI and complete any remaining setup prompts.
