Disable or Enable Keyboard Beep — Valor Terminal

This article explains how to turn the keypad (keyboard) beep on or off on a Valor payment terminal. Use these steps to silence the terminal for a quieter environment or to re-enable audible feedback for users who prefer the beep.

 

From the Home screen, press the Menu button (center of the screen). Disable Enable Key Beep Valor Terminal Step 1

Choose the Keyboard Beep option.

To disable the keypad beep, select No. To enable the keypad beep, select Yes.

Notes & Tips

  • Changes take effect immediately. Press a few keys after changing the setting to confirm the beep is enabled or disabled.

  • For quiet environments (restaurants, libraries, medical offices), disabling the keypad beep can improve customer experience. For visually impaired users or staff who rely on audible confirmation, enable the beep.
