Dejavoo Remote RKI/RKL Download Procedure

Dejavoo Remote RKI/RKL Download Procedure

Purpose

This document outlines the steps for completing remote RKI/RKL key injections for Dejavoo Z-Series, QD2, and QD4 terminals when PIN debit or EBT functionality is required.

Overview

Dejavoo now supports remote key injections for QD2, QD4, and Z-Series devices. This enhancement eliminates the need to ship terminals for injections, allowing merchants to complete setup more quickly and efficiently.

Important Notes

  • A $25.00 fee per injection applies to all remote injections.
  • The fee will be billed to the merchant or the representative.
  • If billing the merchant, a signed Purchase Agreement (PA) or an email from the representative authorizing the charge is required.

Process Steps

Step 1: Identify the Required Injection

Determine the correct injection type based on the merchant’s processor:

Processor Injection Types Notes
EPI / FDO (First Data Omaha) Carlton500 Injection If the merchant uses EPI Cygma, the injection must be handled directly by EPI. Standard fee still applies.
TSYS TangramTSYS-1301 (Envoy Central)

Step 2: Request the Remote Injection

After confirming the appropriate injection:

  1. Email James D'Angelo at Ops@envoybusinesssystems.com
  2. Include the following details:
    1. Terminal serial number
    2. Injection type requested

Step 3: Record and Bill the Injection

Once you receive confirmation from Dejavoo that the remote injection has been completed:

  1. Save the confirmation email in HubSpot under the merchant’s account.
  2. Create a MISC deal in HubSpot for billing using the following format:
MISC – Remote Injection Dejavoo – [Date] – [MID]

- However, communicate a 24-hour completion window to set proper expectations.
- Once the injection is completed, the terminal must perform a download to apply the update.
