Clearing the Database on PAX A-Series Devices
Use the steps below to properly upload terminal logs and clear the database on PAX A-Series terminals before requesting a forced batch close. This process applies to standard A-Series terminals and the A35 PIN pad.
Before You Begin: Upload Pax Logs
Upload Logs from the BPOS (BroadPOS) Application

Open the BPOS (Credit Card Application).

Select Func.
-
Select Settings.
-
Enter the password (today’s date in MMDDYYYY format; example: 04292025).

Select About BroadPOS.
-
Select Log Upload.
Upload Logs from PAXSTORE App

Exit the BPOS application.
-
Open the PAXSTORE app.
-
Tap the hamburger menu ☰ (top-left corner).

Select More.
-
Tap Upload Terminal Logcat.

Select Logcat, then tap Upload.

Wait 20 seconds.
-
Select Detail Log, then tap Upload.
Clearing the Database on PAX A-Series Terminals
Follow these steps before calling the processor for a forced batch close.

Open the Payments application.

Tap Func.
-
Select Settings.
-
Enter the password (today’s date in MM/DD/YYYY format).

Navigate to Other Settings.
-
Select Clear All or Clear Database.

When prompted “Are you sure?”, select Yes.

The terminal should display “Database Cleared.”
Once complete, proceed to call [Processor Name] to request a forced batch close.
Clearing the Database on PAX A35 PIN Pad
If using a PAX A35 PIN pad:

From the home screen, tap Settings.

Enter the System Password.
-
Tap System.
-
Select Reset Options.
-
Tap Erase All Data (Factory Reset).

Select RESET DEVICE.
-
Tap ERASE EVERYTHING to confirm.
